About the School
Oakbank Primary School was originally built in 1969 and is a large and popular school within the beautiful City of Perth. We were delighted to move into our new school building in August 2015 and we continue to develop innovative ways of using our new school campus to inspire and engage our learners. Our new building offers beautiful semi-open-plan classroom areas, a purpose-built gymnasium, dining-room, auditorium, library, roof-top terrace, an extensive playground including a multi-use games area (MUGA) and a large grass field (due to open Spring 2016). This session, we have a school roll of approximately 380 pupils split into 14 classes from Primary 1 to Primary 7. We also have a 40/40 Nursery Class. Later this session, we look forward to welcoming our first group of pupils to our purpose-built facilities for pupils with additional support needs.
All pupils, staff and parents are actively encouraged to contribute to the life and work of the school. Learning is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to enhance education and celebrate success. We aim to enable our pupils to achieve their full potential and become lifelong learners.
We have a very welcoming Parent Council (Oakbank School Council) who work hard to support the life of the school.
There is always an 'open-door' to parents at Oakbank and we value any opportunity to work in partnership with parents and partner agencies in order to 'get it right' for every pupil.
We hope you will find the information on this site interesting and informative.
